POP: Piano, EASY LISTENING: Musicals/Broadway
Details:
Since I do a lot of solo piano concerts and performances, I thought I'd do a solo piano CD of many of the most requested pieces. I've also thrown in a couple of my favorites. Actually, I have considered I would never do an album with these songs on them because everyone has done them already. But I thought, I still love these songs and have my signature on them so why not record them! Here are some notes about the selections:
Young At Heart is one of those songs that makes me feel good. It's just so nurturing and enjoyable to play. The Debussy/Webber Medley ha been one I've performed in concert for a while now and thought it would be enjoyable to add to this CD. Canadian Sunset is such a cool groove and adds a nice feel to this project. Long live my Canadian friends! Somewhere My Love is such a popular song. My wife gets pretty romantic when she hears this so I try to play it as often as possible. Wouldn't It Be Loverly is one I added simply because itisi so lilting and joyous. My Fair Lady is a great musical.
