Leidel/Longchamp started as a rock duo to become a full Band built on their fast guitars and lyric driven rock. Ray Longchamp was one of the very best lead Guitar players in the NY/NJ is from NJ. Among lots of lead guitar players you will hear one of the best on this CD. Harry Leidel the Rhythm guitar player and the songwriter with the strong diverse lyrics and music has lived in Texas where he wrote 4 of the CD songs, New Mexico,and New York where he wrote the rest working with Ray,Dave Bryan and John Kemble.
Longchamp got together with Leidel after Harry's foray in the Southwest in NY as a Rock duo in a very competitive cover band enviroment and by sheer strength of their fast aggressive guitar playing and strong memorable lyrics they got Harry's originals in and they prospered. They then grew to a Band where alot of these songs were Club Standards. The songs and their playing grew with time as as did their fan base for their live shows.These songs were born from those live shows. Ray still lives in New Jersey and Harry now lives in Austin Texas.They also produced the NPC CD which garnered significant College airplay from Ny to Maine which contains some songs on this CD. This CD shows you how good they were and are.
