From Macroom Co. Cork Fiona Kelleher is one of the finest exponents of traditional singing to emerge in the last decade. Fiona has enjoyed a successful career as a solo artist and as lead vocalist with one of Irelandâs top traditional bands North Cregg touring extensively and receiving critical acclaim for their third album âSummer At My Feetâ.which features five songs from Fiona

During this time Fiona established herself as a central figure in the traditional song community and a highly regarded interpreter of newly composed material in the genre. She has frequently performed live both on radio and television shows with BBC and RTE and BBC Radio Scotland.

She has continued to develop a successful career as a solo artist since parting company with North Cregg. 2009 brings the long awaited release of her debut solo albumâ My Love Liesâ. This album features new arrangements of traditional songs and also songs by well known composers of traditionally inspired new material such as Bill Caddick. Cyril Tawney and John Spillane. âMy Love Liesâ is produced by Donald Shaw and showcases the talents of guitarist Jim Murray and bass player Ewan Vernal who provide the perfect backdrop to Fionaâs crystalline vocals.
