Details:
Starr Saunders (the lead singer and lyricist for the band) was in the pop/punk/rock bay area based band NONSENSE for a year and half prior to forming "The Starr Saunders Project". In NONSENSE she gained wonderful experience writing with the band and performing all over the Bay Area and in Los Angeles...however she knew that this particular style was not where she wanted to end up musically, so in May of 2004 she left NONSENSE to pursue other areas of music and focus on her solo effort.

A couple months later, her friend Sandy Small (who is now the guitar player for "The Starr Saunders Project") called her up and asked her if she wanted to try and collaberate on some music. Sandy is first and foremost a guitar player, although he used to play bass for NONSENSE in which he and Starr met. Starr agreed to meet up with Sandy to "see what music would flow"...and on that first night they put together a song called "I Could Ruin You". That song had so many of those instant magical musical moments where it feels like the song wrote itself...that song became one of the many songs that would be the first step in "The Starr Saunders Project".

The rest, as they say, is history! ;)
