Introduced to each other via mutual friends in the east coast production scene in December 2004, vocalist Alana Da Fonseca met founding band members- Dan Malsch & Tim O'Grady at JSM studios in NYC where she worked as a staff producer/engineer.

After the turn of the year, the trio immediately started recording at The Soundmine (Dan's recording studio) tucked away in the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania. With the addition of bassist Joe Paciotti & drummer Dondi Ellner, the birth of CHERRYFIX was complete. The subsequent sessions produced 15 songs; guitar-driven, hooky electro-pop bearing the unique vocal styling of Alana Da Fonseca.

Cherryfix have absorbed a wide but less likely range of influences including The Cure, No Doubt, Chris Whitley & U2.

With the release of the "One Bitter Ending" EP featuring the single, plus "Love's Just A Waste", "No One Knew", "Just Fine" and "Hold My Breath," the band has been on an F.Y.E East Coast tour as well as select indie store locations throughout the Northeast.

2005 brings the beginning of this band's plan to rock the pop world. More to come so stayed tuned to
