Steve baxter a multitalented trombonist and composer, first started out in Houston Texas, with the award winning high shool jazz ensemble "Forest Brook", and soon after off to Howard University, where music became focus, performing with local bands, recording with Howard U jazz ensemble, blowing tribute's to Tholonius Monk, that featured: Grady Tate(drums), Charlie Rouse(sax) Wallace Roney(trumpet), Curtist Fuller(trombone) . Soon after went on the road with Ray Charles, Gladys Knight and the Pips, O'JAYS, Johnny 'guitar' Watson, Temptation, O'jay's, Four Tops.
