Details:
The story of Stomp on Melvin is a long and tedious tale. It all started back in the summer of 2001. Randy Foster and Jeff Williamson became good friends through high school, realized they shared similar interests in music, and thus decided to jam. Along with two other friends, they got together one night and attempted to make some music. The outcome wasn't anything that they expected. Turns out, they weren't the most talented musicians. So they decided to get something to eat and try again some other night. For the next few days, the two friends would spend countless hours thinking and pondering on different band names that would best describe their music. I have no idea where Stomp on Melvin came from. And nor does anyone else. The secret will forever remain in the curious minds of Randy and Jeff. I don't even know if they know. hmmm... anyway...

With a band name and an creative ear for music, Stomp on Melvin soon took form. It developed a solid core consisting of 3 solid members. Randy and Jeff were joined by the talented Brandon Carroll. From here on, the band would rotate through many different guitarists. Eventually, SOM found a friend named Adam Duke. They played around the Valley for about a year, hitting all of the local venues and high school parties with dreams of creating a solid fanbase. Their dreams came true when Stomp on Melvin released it's first demo CD containing a crappy recording of their first 5 original songs, including infamous b-sides Lovesick Heart and the Mission Song. "Chomp on these Demos" reached the hands of many teenagers throughout the Valley and began promoting the name of Stomp on Melvin. Over the next year, SOM continued performing and recording as usual. In November of 2002, they released the "Feel it inside too" EP, which included 4 tracks of new SOM material. Following the release of the EP, SOM was joined by the very talented and very attractive Lindsey Stirling, who plays the violin. Her new sound sparked interest back in the band and got them encouraged once again to continue their dream: completing a full-length album. The "Feel it inside too" EP launched the first Stomp on Melvin tour in the summer of 2003, where the band performed in major cities including Phoenix, Prescott, Salt Lake City and Provo, and ended their journey in the quiet lands of Idaho. Since then, Stomp on Melvin has recently replaced guitarist Adam Duke with Mark Williamson, while Adam serves a mission in (ironically) Idaho. They continue to play around the Valley and have recently released their debut full-length album Tinnabulous. So what are you waiting for? Get your copy today!
