"Imagining October EP" is the successor to Daniel Land & The Modern Painters' excellent debut "Voss".
Taking the listener on a thematic journey through the dark months of autumn, the music is tougher, more direct, and more tightly constructed than its predecessor, whilst also improving on the sonic lushness and impressionism of the former release.
Incorporating elements of waltz, Chanson, Madchester, early 90's shoegaze and latin american music, all filtered through the gauze of Land's unique take on shoegaze/dream-pop, the EP is a breathtaking sonic tour-de-force.
