He is also joined on Standards with compelling performances by jazz keyboardists Bobby Lyle, Michael Price and drummer Lenny Robinson. FLO: Chill , is a mixture of laid back cool jazz tracks coupled with sexy dance tracks and a leaning of R&B and hip-hop. It will remind you of walking into the swankest London Lounge. With this production, Johnson continues his commitment to independent thought in music by giving several young producers free reign to give him music to play over that produced a perfect blend of jazzy keyboards with racy, dynamic tracks â â Straight chillinâ. Chill also opens with the grooves of âPlushâ from Johnsonâs highly touted Urban Groove CD (2001).

FLO: Romance, a smoothed out mix of sultry R&B vocals along with Johnsonâs fluid performance on keys, gives homage to romance with the crooning of R&B vocalists Frank McComb , Keith Adler, and Stoney Ellis. Noted songstress Alyson Williams joins this grouping with her love song, âSoft and Warmâ and Johnsonâs accompaniment with former label mate, YahZarah, on âMy Funny Valentineâ is stellar.

Johnson, Chairman and CEO of Three Keys Music and Studio 8121, and founder of FLOTM Brands, juggles running a successful business, creating musical masterpieces and dedicating himself to community service seamlessly. independent release Lessons in Love (1997) to his latest Phoenix (2007) and In Concert For A Cause (2008), Marcus Johnson has generated loyal fans from around the world and garnered respect from his peers in the industry.

However, the most important and most meaningful to him as a musician , performer and entrepreneur are the people â the masses of folk that love his music and the masses of folk who are growing to know him everyday. They are his focus and his guiding light to enable him to strive and perfect his FLO âFor the Love Of.â

Johnson was born in Ohio and raised in Washington, DC by his mother, a classical pianist and his father, who exposed him to the funk. He witnessed his first live show â Earth, Wind & Fire â with his father and the musical chariot was in motion. His stepfather bought his first keyboard and along with private lessons from an Aunt and direction from his high school music director, a star was born.

Johnson is a graduate of Howard University (Bachelor of Music and Georgetown University, accomplishing a daunting feat for anyone else, a JD and MBA . He independently produced his first musical recording, went on to form his first company, Marimelj Entertainment Group, LLC, joined forces with BET head Bob Johnson who invested in Marcusâ dream. From that dream came Three Keys Music, Studio 8121 and two music publishing companies. FLO brands, LLC comes from Marcusâ desire to fill the void of adult music. In 2004, when asked by Billboardâs Gail Mitchell, âWhat do you want people to say about you in 5 years?â Johnson replied, âThat I took a chance on Adult Music and Won!â. FLO Brands and the FLO Series is the manifestation of that goal. There will be many more CD Series as well as other brands to come.
