Kathryn Tingey, mostly known as Kat Tingey, started playing the guitar in 1999. She has always been musical, but it was like she found a part of her that had been missing when she picked up the guitar. She wanted to accompany herself and write her own music and the guitar was a perfect tool.

Attending Utah State University helped her hone her skills as she earned a BA in Music; Guitar Performance. While at college she wrote and recorded her second album, Raining Autumn.

Kat is from Centerville, Utah and currently resides in Orem, Utah. As she has evolved so has her music. She just finished her third origional album entitled "Stranger." It presents a much different feel than "Raining Autumn," encompassing many different styles such as Folk, Jazz, Acoustic, Alternitive and Soft Rock. You will also find one of her most popular songs featured on this new album. The song is titled "Undone" and it was inspired by the novel "Twilight" written by Stephenie Meyer.

Kat has been writing her own music for most of her life. It has reached a more professional level in the last five years, and her love of performance has soared. She loves playing for anyone who will listen and sharing her passion for life through her music.
