Steve Wickham is the violinist with "the Waterboys". Steve joined 'the Waterboys in 1985 to play on the "This is the Sea" record. Steve has played on many of the Waterboy's records up to the present date. including Fisherman's Blues, Room to Roam, Too Close to Heaven, and most recently "Universal Hall".

Steve Wickham is a well respected session violinist and has recorded with U2 ('war") Elvis Costello (Spike) Sinead O Connor (the lion and the cobra, I do not want what I have'nt got" , "Sean Nos Nua"). Steve has recorded with many other international artists including Bob Dylan, Maria Mc Kee, the Longriders, the Hothouse Flowers, Declan O Rourke, Sharon Shannon, The Texas Kellys, In Tua Nua, Cadenza, Deirdre Cunningham,
