Justin lay helpless on an isolated beach in Venezuela, his foot nearly severed, his surf board lost in the waves, and his career destroyed by a tiger shark. One day and 7 pints of blood later, Justin sat in a hospital bed, exhausted, confused, and determined to devote the rest of his life to music.


Sweet James is about power, beauty, and difference. The Southern California singer is equally comfortable rocking the house with the volume cranked as he is at playing acoustic breakdowns.
The debut album, ...between now and never..., ties together influences as diverse as the singer himself. The dominant themes of power, love, and loss are belted with huge string and choral arrangements in tracks such as "Smile," and whispered with a sole acoustic guitar in "Interlude."
