THOMAS KOVACS ... a singer/songwriter ... started his marathon singing career in the early eighties singing six nights a week at the Alexandreâs Pub in Montreal for two years. Later, during Gulf War I, he was the lead singer for a band called "Sister Moon" sent to the Persian Gulf for five months to perform almost every night for the U.S. troops there. Tom followed that gig some years later, as the regular weekly singer/guitar player for five years at the Kiwi Kick restaurant in the trendy High Park area of Toronto. He's studied jazz vocals at the Humber College Music program and has attended all Humber Summer Songwriting Workshops with Rik Emmett and Blair Packham since the workshops began in 2005. Songwriting is his passion ⦠and Arms of a Stranger, a co-write with Nyanna Parcher while they attended HSSW 2008, is his best song to date, here masterfully produced by four time Juno nominee, Doug Romanow of Fire Escape Recording Studio in Toronto and mastered by George Graves ("The Joshua Tree") at The Lacquer Channel.

NYANNA PARCHER is a singer/songwriter who currently runs a successful Songwriter's Open mic in Richmond Hill
as well as being a Songwriter's Association of Canada (S.A.C.)co-ordinator for the Richmond Hill Regional Writer's Group. By day she runs a music program in a nursery school and she has released one children's CD.
'Arms of a Stranger' is her first Smooth Jazz release. She sang with a blues/rock female duo throughout the GTA while
developing her songwriting talents and has had the pleasure of working as a vocalist with the 7 Piece Syncopated Ragtime Orchestra. This diverse experience set her on course to meet Thomas Kovacs at the Humber Summer Songwriting Workshop, where this beautiful duet
was created.
