Acoustic Faith was formed by Daren Brooks and Debi Gollehon in 2006. The two had previously played together in various combinations since 1999. Besides their musical compatibility, the two collaborate well in music composition with Debi providing the lyrics and Daren adding the magic of music to turn the words into songs. Joining the group in 2007 was bassist, Justin Brooks. Justin has joined in on the group's songwriting adventures by providing lyrics of his own.

The music of Acoustic Faith could be placed within the Americana genre. While often placed by others in the "Bluegrass" genre, their music is far from traditional bluegrass as most traditionalists would quickly point out. Similar to Alison Krauss in a lot of ways, the group's music is soothing and inspiring. If you're looking for something to "flatfoot" to, look elsewhere. But if you're looking for original music that is non-traditional, fresh and new, you've come to the right place!

The faith of the members of Acoustic Faith bonds them as individuals and drives their music and their ministry. They believe Jesus Christ is the son of the one, true and most holy God, was fully human and fully God, lived a perfect, sinless life, died on the cross as an atonement for our sins, and arose from the dead after 3 days. Each of them has accepted Christ as their Lord and Savior and strives to live a life worthy of the name they bear. They consider their talents and their musical compositions to be gifts from God and attribute all praise, honor and glory to Him.
