Written, recorded, and performed by Aaron Berg, these seven songs represent volume one of the podcast âLove and Coffeeâ. Although he toured over 15,000 miles in 2007 from the East Coast to California and back, âLove and Coffeeâ is recorded in a two-room garage apartment in Bergâs native South Carolina. On the song, âBehind Closed Doorsâ, a chorus of crickets can be heard roaring through the windowpanes from the garden outside. The piano used throughout is a 19th century carved upright grand passed down as a family heirloom.

Because of the simple recording setup the music is largely folk-based, but also draws from blues, rap, and country. Bergâs live performances are not to be missed blending bizarre tales of the road with comedic quips and mysterious one-liners. Criticâs have described the live show as âriveting and uplifting from one hypnotic twist to the next...â and â...another Dylan on the cusp of something else very big.â Volume two of âLove and Coffeeâ is due out in March. Bergâs second full length studio album entitled âRiver Taxi Manâ will be released in the Fall of 2009.
