Details:
"A Little Space Left", Tamara's self-released CD produced by Henry Hey (www.henryhey.com), has been well-received and played on numerous college and public radio stations. In addition to that recording, Tamara has also appeared on 3 Fast Folk Musical Magazine recordings and as a background vocalist other artist's recordings. A new CD of original music entitled "Right This Minute", produced by Art Hays (www.arthays.com) will be available on CD Baby in the next couple of weeks.

Tamara Hey is a singer-songwriter whose material ranges from vignettes about her friends and neighbors and what it's like to live in a tiny New York City apartment, to love songs that are romantic, sad and funny. Whatever the subject, Tamara delivers her songs with "a voice that's light, but not wimpy" and "guitar playing that captures just the right mood".

Tamara is originally from New York City. Although she taught herself to play the guitar in college, her formal musical education began at an early age with classical piano. She attended The High School of Performing Arts in New York City, followed by University of Massachusetts, Amherst and finally, Boston's Berklee College of Music, where songwriting was her major.

Over the years Tamara has appeared at a number of festivals and showcases such as the Falcon Ridge Folk Festival's "New Artist Showcase" and numerous others sponsored by The Songwriters Hall of Fame/National Academy of Popular Music, Gateway, NERFA, SESAC, The Berklee Alumni Association and Women in Music.

Tamara usually appears as a solo acoustic guitar/voice act, but has also been known to perform in duo or trio settings. Favorite gigs of the past include opening for Ellis Paul and Jack Hardy, as well as shows at beloved New York City hangs such as The Livingroom, The Bitter End, CBGB's Gallery, Café Sin-e and the Fast Folk Musical Revue at The Bottom Line.
