Details:
After over a year of supporting "The Mirror" E.P. (their first release for Fire-tone Records) throughout the Midwest region; TEAM ROCKIT has laid the solid, initial ground work for this moment....the release of their first full-length CD, "Hell on Wheels".

A tour to New York last year, in addition to being offered showcase slots at both NXNW (North by Northwest) and SXSW (South by Southwest) 2001 in addition to the band being favorably reviewed on the larger profile music sites, such as musicdish.com, localmusic.com, and chicagogigs.com, have proven to pay off for the "Chicago-trio-that-could".

TEAM ROCKIT is scheduled to perform live on Chicago's largest alternative rock station, WKQX/Q101 on the eve of their full-length release while also preparing for a short jaunt to New York to get the word out and perform "Hell on Wheels" in its entirety for fans in the midwest and east coast cities.

The highlight of this first phase of initial promotion will be the band's largest homecoming Chicago show on 11/9 at a benefit for the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation to be held at Chicago's own Double Door in addition to plans of incessant touring for 2002 that will get underway early next year.

Reaching this new milestone in the band's history didn't come without the band's hard work performing at various clubs in the Chicagoland area for the past two years at such venues as The Note, Big Horse, Lyon's Den, Gunther Murphy's, and Elbo Room (just to name a few).

"The process of recording "Hell on Wheels" couldn't have been anymore indie-rock," explains Joe Sanzeri, guitarist/singer for TEAM ROCKIT.

The band opted for investing in more gear for Sanzeri's already established Electric Lady Lamp studio instead of being rushed with the costs of expensive studio time.

From June until the end of August 2001, TEAM ROCKIT went through the process of laying down a slew of songs at their leisure in which 13 actually making the final cut.

The beauty of this release is that the disc features contributions from both Amber Tonelli (bass) and Matt Friscia (drums) with each receiving a track or two of writing credits this time around.

The majority of the disc, including its production, was completed by Sanzeri himself, "..but this is the first real BAND effort that we have put forth with all of us having a hand in a TEAM ROCKIT recording", explains drummer Matt Friscia as last's year's E.P. was merely an effort for something to be available while the band hit the regional scene.

"I've always been a fan of band's doing everything themselves until it just gets too out of hand and one is at the doorstep of taking a logical jump to a record label that will benefit them without hindering their process", proclaims Matt about the state of the recording industry and bands involved in it.

"We'll keep on doing this until someone notices or until we get sick of each other." ....and we don't see the latter happening anytime soon.
