Melita is a musician in Berkeley, CA. She writes and plays music inspired by nature and spirituality for children and adults. She has performed and recorded with many talented musicians, among them Shimshai and the Natural Mystic Ensemble, Eliyahu Sills of Qadim, the world/fusion band Hamsa Lila, well-known singer/songwriter Tina Malia, and the accomplished klezmer musician David Rosenfeld, She is often accompanied on vocals by her husband, David, who in his âtime offâ is an ER doctor. Her four-year-old daughter, Leilah Meadow is the source of much of her inspiration, and sometimes features in her songs. Melita also leads music classes for children out of her home and in many schools, organizations, and venues for children in and around the Bay Area.
