The rhythm and timing are solid, the instrumental work is clean and tasteful, and the vocals are heartfelt. The music is hard-edged with a live flavor, not honed to perfection by repeated takes and overdubs. Big Country Bluegrass is in the forefront in keeping authentic, traditional bluegrass alive.

This is an excellent recording. The music, the harmony, the timing is perfect. Big Country Bluegrass is a favorite at the Carter Fold. I believe this band will go far in the bluegrass field.

The core group of Tommy and Teresa Sells, Larry Pennington and Alan Mastin is not only rock solid with their music, theyâre equally strong with their taste and knowledge of the musicâs roots. The bandâs past lead singers include such names as Udell McPeak and James King; however, it is with their present lead singer and fiddler, Jeff Michael, that the band has crystallized itâs purest traditional sound.
