There is a corner on the Rock/Pop Main Street where your mind and your mojo can coexist in peace. It's the place where powerful vocals and an innovative, funky roots rock sound are fused in a dynamic live show; it's the place where thoughtful songwriting and stylish harmonies rule the day; it's the place where The Charm lives.

These days, that place is Chicago. The Charm relocated to Chicago in 2001, and is already attracting a major following playing club shows at Windy City hot spots like Gunther Murphy's, the Beat Kitchen, and the Heartland Café. With a hot new CD, "Even As We Speak," The Charm now turns its attention to the rest of the MidwestÂspecifically target markets in Illinois, Michigan, Indiana, Wisconsin, Missouri, and Iowa.

The band's debut CD, "Built By Hand," has sold nearly 1000 copies, gained airplay on dozens of stations, and collected a slew of great reviews. The CD was released while The Charm was based in Iowa, where the Steve Hendershot Band (including Jeff Keele on bass) formed at Drake University in 1999. The band has toured throughout the Midwest.
