Details:
"The Good" are a songwriting duo from Newcastle, Australia but have been touring Europe for the past 2 years. Their unique vocal sound features male/female harmonies, and with their melodious tunes they'll keep you humming for days!
Fronting the band on bass guitar/double bass and vocals is Heather Barnes. Barnes, who also plays the double bass, met Gareth Hudson while completing a Bachelor of Music at Newcastle Conservatorium (Australia). Hudson, who's song writing ability led him to be commissioned to compose "The Shining Isle: Rock Opera "(2002), also fronts the band on vocals/guitar and didgeridoo! This opera will be staged by JJK productions in Australia in October 2006!
In the 5 years that the band has been together, they have completed an EP, True What They Say (2000), and a self-titled album (2002), the "Move Along" album (2004) and the "Send In The Cavalry" single (Oct 2004). They are currently working on a fresh album for release in early 2006.
The Good are now back in Australia and are consistently touring the country to promote their music. 2006 will see the release of a new album and many festival performances. Check out the website www.thegoodband.com and find out where you can see them live where they really shine!!!
