Details:
The Liberation is an independent Washington DC outfit working for societal change. A show with The Liberation is an event of pure energy in the search of unity and justice.

Punk's dead. The Liberation wants to give you something new. So here it is.

What do they sound like? The Liberation's got grit like the sand you accidently took home in your bathing suit. Like the Violent Femmes' tour bus was totalled by the Morphines' van, and the ghosts decided to play Woody Guthrie covers.

This music is full of life and an in-your-face yearning for peace. Forget what you thought you knew- The Liberation wants to take you to a new world TODAY. Find out why DC music fans are raving about them by ordering their self-titled debut EP NOW.

The punk saboteurs:

John Henry England - Vox, guitars, vision
John Henry is originally from Costa Rica, where the raw natural beauty of the land could only lead to singing in DC punk bands and social activism, and maybe an affinity for the ocean. When this man takes the stage, be prepared for surprises and don't look back. You're about to become a butterfly.

Chris Desrocher - Mad trombone, percussion and backing vox
Ska. Funk. Jazz. West Indian Raga. There's no reason to this man's madness. It is only rumored that a sip of some bad green tea in a remote region of Tibet made him sick, and watching him play, you realize he must have never fully recovered.
