No stranger to the music business, Ron's group Felis opened for The Who on their world tour back in the sixties, and went on to record four well received albums of their own. Ron has gone on to produce tunes for such rock legends as Paul McCartney and Mick Jagger, with a Grammy Award for his work on FlashDance, and a Grammy Nomination for Jaggers' "Just Another Night". He has worked with The Beatles producer George Martin at Abbey Road Studios and has produced more than 40 records, including film and TV sountracks for Disney and the BBC. Besides his role as The Pioneers Producer, Ron also provided some rythm guitar and backing vocals on the album.
At the soul of The Pioneers is Lead Singer and Songwriter Roy Michaels.
Roy Michaels, whose diverse career includes touring with the likes of Gerry and The Pacemakers, Peter Noone, The Searchers, Manfred Mann, Billy J. Kramer, and as a cast member of the touring group Beatlemania. Roy's songwriting credits include a late 70's top 20 AM single "Long last lover", released on AVP Records, and more recently two of Roy's songs can be heard covered on Hilltop Records "High Country" Album.
