Details:
In 1998, Jackie G and DJ Wade decided to move to NYC and be roommates. Wade got a job working the night shift (getting coffee...) at SONY Music Studios and Jackie, a painter, eagerly accepted a job at a wallpaper factory in Queens.

THE YEAH was their basement studio creation on the 4th floor of an industrial loft building in Brooklyn. Wade made beats. Jackie sang along. The goal was to make true reflections of daily life via the poppiest songs EVER.

Their first song was "Come on Let's Go", an autobiographical pep-song that gave homage to many of their influences, those being the oldies, indie rock, reggae, hip hop, classic rock, new wave, techno, R&B, folk, country and western, soul, show tunes and top 40. The song was passed along from friend to friend and some how fell into the hands of Duane at the record store, Other Music in NYC. Duane encouraged The Yeah to put something out ASAP...

The Yeah agreed to release a homemade Limited Edition EP that quickly sold out at Other Music. Soon after, the Yeah made their true indie DEBUT with their self titled record, released on Sack International. The album, like the EP, was only available at Other Music.

Now The Yeah's first album is finally going to be available to those outside of NYC.

THE YEAH no longer live together in Brooklyn. Pete has moved into his parent's basement in Jersey and on to become "the pro-tools guy" for music giants such as Jennifer Lopez, Destiny's Child and Marc Anthony and Jackie is living in NY and showing her paintings around town and in other cities outside of NYC.

THE YEAH has continued to refine their anything goes pop sound. The band is presently "almost done" with their second full-length album recorded entirely in pete's parent's basement and the songs keep getting catchier.
