Originated by childhood pals Joey Palestina and Spencer Miles, Thing-One features often humorous autobiographical lyrics on a foundation of jazz-pop melodies. With Jackie Wells soulful vocal power, Tim Alworth on drums, Zack Abramson & Adam - Sweaty Funk - Gold on keyboards, and Adam Scherer on guitar along with the occassional guest artist, the result is a contemporary street sound tempered with a layer of early 70's fusion that's been exciting SOLD OUT crowds at clubs like New York's Knitting Factory, Nuyorican Poets Cafe, Arlene's Grocery, CBGBs Gallery, Downtime, Park Side Lounge, The Lion's Den, Pianos and more.
