Getting Personal

"I Got Chills Performing for Those Servicemen," August 2003

In the summer of 2003, Thom toured NATO and American military bases in the Mediterranean, sharing his artistic talents with the world's armed forces.

Thom recalls, "I have always had a humbling awe and respect for these people. I never knew how to thank them. But I jumped at this chance. It was one way, my way, of giving back."

"The Support We Receive at Fan Fair Overwhelms Me," June 2002

For four years, Thom has made an appearance at Nashville's Country Music Mecca -- Fan Fair. Booth space is limited and expensive, but Thom is loyal to his fans.

"We make ends meet through album and video sales and personalized merchandise," Thom
explains. "The fans expect to see me every year and we owe it to them to be there."

"Being an Independent Artist Isn't Easy, But the Fans Make It Easier," August 1998

In a town where most artists can barely find one gig, Thom's recruited for charities like Vanderbilt Children's Hospital, St. Judes, Georgia Baptist Hospital, corporations like Gibson Guitars and various Nashville nightspots.

"We have over 3,000 fan club members. People have come from as far as Spokane, Washington to see us perform. My fans motivate me to keep reaching for that brass ring."
