Since 40Love hit the scene in San Francisco, their sound has been constantly expanding as both soulful and hard-hitting, dancehall inspired while still smooth with Dilla-esque rhythms. This eclectic group has gained attention due to both their cutting edge lyricality and their unique and imaginative content.

Haze, a female emcee who holds it down with skill that can tear apart males and females alike, is a rarity in hip hop. Producer Mikos, inspired by Rick to Pete Rock, forms the backdrop for this dreamlike narrative, while emcee G-OFF is reminiscent of a young Common. DJ Whooligan brings the spirit of '94 with his Primo esque cuts to compliment the group's boom bapstic approach.
