The birth of Uncle de la Cruz is dated to 1997 when Stanley H has decided to engage
in music more actively then before. He got a computer adapted to create music and
a first keyboard, synthesizer Yamaha DX21. As all starts, it was not easy but tough.
The time of very intensive study and experimentation lasted for nearly two years.
Thanks to that Stanley H has created his own style of musical works, influenced by
nearly all styles from 1970's till present.
The first results of this work came out after nearly 3 years in a project called 'Special
Feeling' 1999. The songs are more emotional and personal and therefore they invoked
both positive and negative responses. That fueled continuation and the result was another
project, called 'Trancing HEAD' 2000. It is not so chained to its author and is moved to higher
spheres. 'Trancing HEAD' though wouldn't happen without a new instrument, Yamaha CS1X,
followed by Yamaha CS2X. These instruments were a big source of inspiration and were used
widely.
After 2000 a work on new and very interesting projects has started, thanks
to modernized PC technology, processing and maturity of the creation. That required
new expression, therefore a new name, Uncle de la Cruz. The project 'Follow' 2001
is a remarkable shift and a blockbuster. The songs have already professional processing
and sound. It's a materialization of precise ideas about music and sounds. It was
followed by a project 'Listen' 2002, which goes in these ideas even further.
Responses to these two projects are already only positive. Uncle de la Cruz does
not finish his work and continues not only on new songs, but also on reshaping of
never published ones.
Uncle de la Cruz has not publicly performed and works on another projects,
which will be waiting for your ears and an open critique.
