Details:
Uncle Salty?s Cabin
CD RELEASE:
hooch radio 109.9 fm

Release date April 3rd, 2003

The third release from the rock-n-blues band Uncle Salty?s Cabin is finally here after a two year hiedus from the studio. ?hooch radio 109.9 fm? is a total departure from the previous two ?in-your-face? rock-n-blues CD?s that gained the band high praises for musicianship, song writting and production. Where their self titled ?Uncle Salty?s Cabin? and the follow-up ?Uncle salty?s Cabin 2? were a bit more main stream, heavy electric sounding (gathering plenty of college and commercial radio play), hooch radio 109.9 fm takes on an acoustic flavor with a touch of ?what were they thinking???.

About the band.

Uncle Salty?s Cabin isn?t a band in a ?band? sense. It?s really about a songwriter- Darin, a singer who can get Darins point across- Brett, then great musicians who can do their thing and help make the songs come to life. The list of players seems like a lot, but each one brought something different to the music. One not any better then the other, just different.

Over the years live and studio band members have been: Chris Ray and Brian Lake on bass. Dick Henderson, Kent on keyboards. Bob Gattbutton keys and horn arrangements. Chris G., Jeff Derby, Josh Woodman and Scott Vogul on drums and percussion. John Williams on mandolin and a few others that put down some tracks but just didn?t make it to the mix.

There?s no doubt that the list of musicians will expand in the coming year, Darins plan is to release a live CD the Fall of 2003, then start work on yet another release of new material come winter time.
