Details:
The Discover Radio is a Powerpop/Electronic band that began in the fall of 2007 when Habersham Central High School student, Joel Cox, contacted Dillon Tanksley. Joel came across Dillon's music MySpace page and the two immediately began talking about doing some collaborations with both of their music projects. After meeting in Joel's bedroom, the two began working on their first "collaboration song", I've Got You. After finish other demos, the two realized that it would be better to just start a whole new project for their music. Thus, The Discover Radio was formed. Months passed and several songs had taken shape. Ideas were swapped and the two finally agreed on adding more members to take the set live. In early 2008, members Jared Cox, Joel's brother, and Jo Rudaseal, member of Pop-Rock band "Taking Lottie Home", joined and it was an instant success. Months passed and they hit the studio without Jo, who had prior commitments, to begin work on their E.P. Several members later, the E.P. was finished. Now, the group of 5, Dillon Tanksley, Joel Cox, Jared Cox, Jordan Terrell, and Alex Blackwood continue playing and hope to hit the studio again later this year to start work on a full length album.
