Tyler Firestone is a 18-year-old Folk/Rock, singer/songwriter, and SOCAN member, who lives in Wasaga Beach, Ontario, Canada. He has been playing guitar and harmonica for around 5 years, as well as the piano, mandolin, and other instruments. Songwriting is his passion. He has written over 50 songs since 2005. Some of his songs cause awareness to world issues. He also writes many songs of love, romance, hope, humor, personal experiences, and fictional stories. During his young, emerging musical career he has opened for Canadian folk-music icons such as Valdy, Michael Pickett, and Dala.. Tyler has also performed at the 2007 and 2008 Barrie Folk Roots Music Festival, the 2007 Great Northern Exhibition , Face the Music concert series, Home Grown Folk, Nancy Island: Picnics and Performances, 2008 Suncrash Music festival, Summerfolk 2008,and various gigs (both paying and charity). He also regularly attends open mics, and school events around central Ontario. Tyler also won the Young and Hungry Discoveries Series, Which won him a spot to perform at SummerFolk 2008, and an opening spot for Michael Pickett, in Owen Sound, ON.

When Tyler plays he loves speaking to the audience and telling the stories behind his songs, and he loves to make the audience laugh. He also performed at the 2007 Ontario Thespian Festival, showcasing an anti-bullying play titled âFor the Onesâ which features, and is based on his song For the Ones. Tyler recently wrote an inspirational song titled âI Will Succeedâ which was used in a DVD for Simcoe Community Services, and he has performed the song on two separate occasions with a choir of people with various intellectual disabilities , one of which was at Barrie City Hall.

He is currently promoting his debut album titled Tyler Firestone: All In Good Time, which features 14 of his original songs. His CDs are currently available at various locations, including various music stores. His musical influences include Bob Dylan, Neil Young, Leonard Cohen, Led Zeppelin, Gordon Lightfoot, Pete Seeger, Arlo Guthrie, John Denver, and everything from early blues to 1960's-70's Rock and Folk music. Music is his life, it is his love, it is his passion.
