The Madison Square Gardeners (Rich Hinman, Aaron Lee Tasjan, Mark Stepro, Ramblin' Rob Heath, Johnny Kengla and Bryn Roberts) came together in Brooklyn, NY in early 2007. They cut their teeth playing cover songs while also serving as a backing band for artists including Jill Sobule, Kevn Kinney, Ben Kweller, Gavin Degraw, Tomi Fujiyama, Keith Christopher and many more.

"Don't Name The Pig" (given it's title by the band's longtime friend Kevn Kinney) was recorded over a week long period in Astoria, NY. The songs were penned by Aaron Lee Tasjan with the exception of "Ohio" written by acclaimed filmaker, songwriter and friend of the band JP Olsen. It was engineered by Kieran Kelly, mixed and mastered by Joe Viers and produced by The Madison Square Gardeners. The artwork was done by Britny Teree Smith.

The band continues to drink too much and can often be found performing at "Shayni Rae's Truckstop" hosted by The National Underground located on New York City's lower East side.
