LEVI
A MUSICAL PHENOME



In these times, where so much diversity has appeared in the music genre, a young man of Puertorrican descent has risen, born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, Japhet Rodríguez, known as âLEVIâ, with a new musical rythm. His parents, Rafael Rodríguez and Ilia Rivera, were able to awaken a great passion for music and sports in LEVI from the age of five. He received a dance scholarship to the Nana Hudo Dance Academy, one of the best known dance academies in Puerto Rico. He, also, practiced the Martial Arts.

Japhet, âLEVIâ, migrated to Kissimmee, Florida, at the age of nine. Starting in middle school, âLEVIâ enrolled in music classes and chorus where he stood out above the rest. He was, also, a drummer in the school band. Not forgetting sports, he enrolled and actively participated in the Martial Arts, where he won several awards.

While LEVI was growing up in all areas of life as a young man, reggaeton music was in all of its might in Puerto Rico. Due to the great immigration of Puertorricans to the Central Florida, this new music genre caught LEVI's attention creating a great passion in him.

LEVI has been residing in Greenville, South Carolina, for the last 7 years, where he has been a local talent of the reggaeton genre for the better part of the last
2 1/2 years.

During these years, this young man has worked feverishly in his musical career. He has had the opportunity to work as a radio announcer and has produced radio commercials for a local Spanish-language radio station. Presently, he owns a small radio commercial production company. Other than producing commercials, he has done âjinglesâ and helps other local talents with their musical projects. y ayuda a otros talentos locales en sus proyectos musicales. He is a self-taught young man with great musical talent. He spends most of his free time in his recording studio practicing and producing his own music.

His beginings as a local talent in the reggaeton genre was as a part of a group, later as a part of duet, and more than a year and a few months LEVI launched himself as a soloist achieving an explotion in his career and acceptance by the public where he has performed.

LEVI writes his own lyrics and works feverishly to better himself every day in his field. The press, local and in the states where he has perfomed, have described LEVI as a new and good Hispanic talent.

The Tifton (Ga.) Gazzett, (an English-language newspaper) said : "... (LEVI) is a talented, dynamic young man and is a musical phenomenon." The Spanish-language radio in South Carolina has supported this young talent in his career as well as the written press.

LEVI is a very disciplined and talented young man with a dream of becoming a professionally renown reggaeton writter and performer. LEVI is working very hard to achieve his dreams. Considered as the Reggaeton SInger of Southern U.S., LEVI continues to mark his steps and schieving milestones. In the next few months, LEVI is planning to launch his first CD titled MY FLOW. The lyrics and general production are by LEVI, producers are Andre D" Soprano from Puerto Rico and Látigo from the Dominican Republic, which are producers with high levels of knowledge in reggaeton, and mastered by Esteban Piñero from P.R. , who has mastered work for great artists of this genre. So the sound and the general production are of good quality and very close to the genre.





MUSICAL BIOGRAPHY



LEVI has had the opportunity to open shows or sharing the stage with the following famous and renown artists: Big Boy, Nicky Jam, Wisin & Yandel, Oro Solido, Hector El Father, John Eric, Pitbull, Fulanito, and Yomo, among others.

In the same way, he has participated in various Carnavals and Festivals:

Carnaval of the Carolinas (3 times), NC, Carnaval of Raeghly , NC. In the City of Greenville, the following events: 103.9 FM Aniverssary, Colombian Independence Day Celebration (3), Mexican Independence Day Celebration (3), Dowtown Festival, Fall Festival, Festival Afro,; Fiesta de Pueblo in Tifton, GA , Festival de Pueblo, Augusta, Ga., Carnaval del Barrio, NY; Feria de Puerto Rico 2007, Charlotte Dominican Republic Festival , las Carolinas TV Guide Aniversary, Fort Jackson Hispanic Festival and private parties, (among others).

He has also done shows in the following clubs:

Miami, Luna y Sol, Bongos, Tropicabana, La Montaña, El Paraiso, Soho in Greenville, SC, Club Caliente, Columbia, SC, Restaurant El Mariachi, Greer,SC . La Estrella Club, Tifton, GA, Tropiclub, Augusta, Ga., Rumba Quisqueña, NC.; (among others).

LEVI presents an active and dynamic show, he has two female dancers in his team, a hymen and his Manager.(also we have a DJ) He mixes his reggaeton music with tropical and latin rythms such as Merengue, salsa, vallenato, etc. placing it as contemporary music for Americans; good rythm, modern, and lyrics that make sense and are coherent. Giving reggeaton a place of excellence. this without losing the basic essence of reggeaton
