Richard J. Blackwell Jr. âakaâ Sgt. B was born in the twin city of Texarkana. He has been rapping every since the age of 10. Sgt. B has a talented mind frame because he can play drums and piano. He has had influences from all over the USA. Sgt. B has lived from the small city of Atlanta Texas to the big city of Atlanta Georgia. When Sgt. B. was 13, he started rapping with a couple of friends and formed a group named TBR (Tight Beat Records) because they were known for rapping over tight beats. After living in Georgia, Sgt. B. moved back to his hometown Texarkana where he released 10 independent CD's and produced over 20 in a four year span. While in Texarkana, Sgt. B. did numerous shows and opened up for a lot of artist. In April of 2003, Sgt. B. appeared on the Fox Rich Television Show which aired on Fox33. After his graduation of high school in the year of 2005, Sgt B went to college and ran into a couple of more people who was interested in music and released âSgt.B Presentsâ¦.Mr.Blackwellâ. That CD was a big success on the underground circuit and it landed into the hands of Collipark Music hit producer Mr.Hanky. Now days, you can catch Sgt.B touring around the south and putting on his own shows/parties.
