Details:
This self-titled debut by Verdego is a twelve song instrumental CD collection of ambient, techno-electric, and drum n' break tracks, written by Jeff Green. Breaks on 'Entropic', 'Grandview', and 'Deluxe' were created by Paul Grogan of Rampant Records. All songs on this CD were produced by Jeff Green and Tamara C. Green.

Influence echoes throughout this modern mix. 'Electrician' drafts the soul of the ultimate electrician Gary Numan and the likes of Paul Van Dyk. The track 'Entropic' is a direct hit to L.T.J Bukem's Logical Progression and the synthesizer on 'Grandview' is purely Ultravoxian. The music of Verdego is on cruise-control with varying speed limits.

The engine warms up with track one and then you hit high gear. Light some incense and put on your fuzzy helmet and be ready for some down-shifting. The automaticity of Verdego's range is well depicted on the final track 'Deluxe'. Imagine an old man playing the organ in a southern style church. All the regulars are entering the stained glass edificio, the transformation slowly unfolds, members of the choir suddenly realize they have transcended into an after hours rave scene and the piano player is now the resident house D.J.

Reigning from San Diego, Jeff has played synthesizers since 1986, hence the influx of new wave references. In 1989, at summer's end, Jeff moved to Los Angeles. It was at the music venue, the Palace in Hollywood, circa 1991, when he met his future wife and musical producing partner Tamara C. Green. The two relocated to San Francisco in 1998 and again moved in 2001 to Santa Rosa. In 2002, Jeff and Tamara launched their own label Casa Verde Records. It all happens in the House of Green.

The name Verdego is derived from word play, verde=green, and vertigo.
