Indie rock and rollers, i Dreamer (formerly Verona), are out the gate and running, with no thoughts of turning back. Starting in May 2004, Verona has only one objective in mind-to play music that everyone can relate to and feel good about. After only a mere month of rocking together, and three days for the lead singer to catch everyone's names, Verona took to Watchmen Studios with engineer/producer Doug White to record their five song debut cd ep "Memoirs and Anecdotes". Five tracks of energetic and emotive music that tries to tackle the day to day bouts we all have, but in a hopeful and uplifting tone.
Not satisfied with hammering another nail in the coffin of a tired "Emo", bastardized by cliche dyed-black haired kids wallowing in their own self pity, Verona does only what they know how to do. And thats to rock with such fury and sincerity that everyone is caught singing along with their hearts on their sleeves. Their poppy, yet driving and melodic take, is something refreshing in the now stale and fashion oriented scene. The troupe has drawn comparisons from such bands as Armour for Sleep and Park, to some of indie's most influential veterans, including Hey Mercedes.
In no way does i Dreamer claim to reinvent the wheel, but simply a case of taking a new path from the old, and down trodden road. See them on tour all year long.
