A deliberate statement from beginning to end...exploring electronic, organic, and lyrical space, only to return to one single purpose--to beat the background.
7 MP3 Songs
ELECTRONIC: Pop Crossover, ROCK: Modern Rock
Details:
Wanderwit is one person just trying to get his voice heard. He has spent years playing drums for artists, but never had a real opportunity to put in his creative two-cents. Wanderwit decided to record a quasi-EP with a purpose. His vehicle for this release is Metaltern Records in New York City. He and Metaltern Records feel that the record business, along with the electronic file-sharing community, has lost site of the beauty of a full record. He wanted to put something cohesive out, something deliberate from beginning to end. So he picked up his guitar and wrote seven songs that were to become Beat the Background. Wanderwit plays all instruments on the recording and does all of the vocals. He recorded this stuff in his home studio, because he didn't have any money. That's fine. DIY or die. Take a listen. And please...buy the album if you're intrigued. How else is an idealistic microcosm supposed to function?
