WARFACE BIO

Unleashed from the underground extreme scene of Southern California, WARFACE delivers extreme metal that combines aggressive technical riffing with lowbrowed pounding chunk. This fierce trio keeps the heads of metal enthusiasts banging hard as well as showcases a female delivering all guitars.

WARFACE has surfaced onto the metal scene with intent to support and add to its Brutality Worldwide. WARFACE is Dave Smith (bass and vocals), Laura Christine (guitars) and Scott Ellis (drums). Dave and Laura formed WARFACE in San Diego, California. The band lineup was complete in January 2001 when they added Scott on drums. World famous BC RICH Guitars have recognized the talent of WARFACE and have featured the guitarist, Laura Christine in its catalog. KXK Guitars have also recognized WARFACE talent and designed a custom line of KXK WARFACE V Guitars while currently building a signature KXK WAR Bass series. Other artists in the KxK family include Carl Sanders of NILE and Steve Swanson of SIX FEET UNDER. Scott Ellis is now being showcased and featured as one of the world's most extreme drummers alongside Mike Smith of SUFFOCATION, George Kollias of NILE, Flo Mounier of CRYPTOPSY, Max Kolesne of KRISIUN, Dennis the Menace of MACABRE, Chris Adler of LAMB OF GOD and others at www.halfmanhalfmachine.net. The band has received an incredibly positive response and praise from metal audiences, critics, reviewers, metal radio shows and magazines from around the world.

WARFACE signed with Deathquake Records, Inc. in the fall of 2004. Deathquake Records, Inc. is taking WARFACE back into the studio to record a full-length album due out in stores FALL 2005.

Metal, veteran Dave Smith brings ten years of bass, vocal and stage experience to WARFACE. Laura adds another thirteen years of veteran guitar and stage performance. Prior to WARFACE, Dave and Laura played together in the San Diego based death metal act DAMNATION in 1998 until the group eventually disbanded. Previous to WARFACE, Scott played for the San Diego based death metal act LIFELESS.

The malevolence and the intelligent writing of bands such as Slayer, Cannibal Corpse, Morbid Angel, and old Sepultura inspire WARFACE, to name only a few of so many. WARFACE's evolution pioneers metal forward as well as upholds and adds to its traditions. WARFACE is on a mission to keep extreme metal on the map and into the stadiums.
