This disc is still relatively new, but a couple of tunes are already out there earning their keep.
'brown eyes' was featured on the "KRCL Live" compilation disc alongside folks like Dar Williams, Michelle Shocked and Robert Earle Keen.
'slim chance' reached number one on garageband.com's folk/country charts and was featured as "Track of the Day" on May 29th, 2003.
And now it's about time for a few of the others to get off their butts and start carrying their own weight around here, i mean we're not running a hotel.
Well...
We spent a lot of time on this one. At least two years, but it might have been three. I'm not exactly sure, as I was in a basement studio recording for most of it. Making this baby involved a lot of ups and downs, bumps and scrapes, shocks and sighs, do-overs, tag-backs, tea made in the microwave, beers made in America, peanuts roasted in honey, cat bites, bad posture, bad jokes, good bass players, serious backup singers, running up and down stairs, construction on the freeway, tears on my birthday and at least one argument about pheromones.
The result, though, is engaging (says me) - smooth in parts, stimulating in others and just loud enough.
