Details:
Warren's Signature recorded this 2003 debut album featuring some of the S.F. Bay Area's finest musicians and singers. The album is made up of 18 songs (13 for the musical, 4 karaoke bonus tracks, and 1 special Spanish bonus track).
Concept:The idea of a new Rock 'n' Roll musical was inspired by the continuing successes of the musicals "Grease" and "Mamma Mia" (ABBA). All the original music and lyrics are written by Warren Spalding for the musical and showcased on the album "A Rock 'n' Roll Love Story". The Rock 'n' Roll music on the album captures the many different sounds of Buddy Holly, Beatles, Beach Boys, and Chicago and recorded with the fresh feel of today. The Rock Ballads have influences from modern artists like Enya and Selena, yet maintain a romantic style all their own. Some of the album songs have specific influences: musica romantica with the mariachi trumpets, reggae with the rhythm of the steel drums,and swing with the big band horn section.

I must say, your album has surprised me. I expected it to be good -- you've always done a quality job. However, I didn't expect it to be in the "heavy rotation" on my player! I've had a few other friends who have made albums. I've listened to them, mostly out of courtesy, then filed them with my others. Yours is different -- great variety, great musicianship. It doesn't sound like the typical self-produced project at all. Congrats --

i knew from the narration, this would be a fun song... then the guitar riffs kicked in! wow sounds like a fun song... remniscent of 60s era surf music... the production sounds really good, & the vocals are nice & clear, unlike my songs! the hook is rather catchy, & the mix sounds good. Keep on recording guys!
