Watercolor is Liz Hodder and Joe Pisapia.
Lizzie and Joe are neighbors. Joe has a studio downstairs. When Lizzie hired Joe to produce a record for her neither of them knew that in less than a month's time they would have concieved and created Watercolor. All of the songs were written and recorded in that time period. One after the next, they wrote them in the kitchen and then recorded them in the studio room as soon as they were concieved.
The excitement of this fresh and unexpected collaboration is captured on the recordings, and comes across as pure joy when they perform.
Watercolor is the perfect melding of simple harmonics purely depicting songs of love and longing set to their serene vocal blend. It is two souls coming together in perfect counterpart, vulnerable and open as the first glimpse of morning light.
Their sound conjours images of early Simon and Garfunkel, Neil Young and Nicolette Larson, and Eva Cassidy.
