Description:

(ID 645292)
Influenced by the Beatles, Elvis Costello, Big Star, The Stones, Blur, Weezer and assorted New Wave and Power Pop bands. They wear ties on stage. Dig?

6 MP3 Songs
POP: Power Pop, ROCK: Psychedelic

Details:
Welsh' rab'bit, n. 1. a dish of melted cheese, usually mixed with ale or beer, served over toast. 2. A POWER POP band currently residing in Eugene and Portland, OR (a Siamese twin split in half if you will).

Basically Welsh Rabbit just wants to rock. However, they don't sound like most of the stuff you hear on "Rock" stations these days. That could be because their musical knowledge goes back further than Pearl Jam, Alice and Chains, and Metallica. With influences such as the Beatles, Elvis Costello, Big Star, The Stones, Blur, Weezer and assorted little known New Wave and Power Pop bands, Welsh Rabbit manages to sound like little else around, yet suspiciously familiar at the same time. And they wear ties on stage. What else do you need? So give the CD a spin, and give Welsh Rabbit a chance. You won't regret it!

"You've got that vintage sound going." Pat from Weezer and Special Goodness.

"You guys will have no problem [making it] because you're really good." Greg Brown of Deathray (formerly of Cake)

"Buy whatever they have to sell. Just on principle. What you do with it afterwards is up to you. Just buy it." Higgins from the American Girls.

"Great Pop tunes and soaring guitar solos!" Marty Chilla of the Sugar Beets and Creator7.

"When are you coming back next? I want to book you again!" Eric Zero from Club Boomerang.

"Welsh Rabbit Rocks!" Robert Russell, professional Opera singer.

"You are awesome, can I get a picture with you?" Brian, a nice kid we met at one of our shows.
