Description:

(ID 648760)
Will Dudley's rural sensibilities and blue collar tales come alive with the help of some of Nashville's finest harmonizers and musicians.

11 MP3 Songs
COUNTRY: Country Blues, COUNTRY: Western

Details:
This first endeavor by Western Artist Will Dudley was recorded in Nashville in 1993. Ace road drummer and session player Billy West works his magic on drums, while Steve Young's former bass player Boone Montgomery provides a solid foundation on bass. The former Gibson Miller Band's Mike Daley is standout on pedal steel, while Gary Talley (George Fox Band) and Grammy winner Al Perkins, a former Souther, Hillman, and Furay bandmember and one of Emmy Lou Harris's Nash Ramblers, along with Brambis recording artist Brent Moyer and Dave Meadows(one of Tanya Tucker's road warriors) shine on electric and acoustic guitars, mandolins, and dobros. Grammy winner Stuart Duncan's intro to the song "What the Four Winds Have to Say" is signature, and the background vocals are provided by Woody Wright (The Wright Brothers), Jack "the man" Howell, and none other than Nanci Griffith's stellar background vocalist LeeAnn Etheridge.
Rootsy and personal, there are songs on this CD that may well rise again. In this first outing, it is obvious that you can take the Dudley out of the west, but the west in Dudley is here to stay.
