Details:
Here's an album that made it all the way up to #13 on one critics list of best albums of 2002 (Lee Larcheveque, WMUA, 91.1FM), finishing ahead of such greats as Mark Knopfler and Tori Amos to name a couple. OH MY GOD is largely a product of the superb guitar playing of Goffrey Moore (lead guitarist for Jonatha Brooke) and the soulful songwriting of Jeff Witzeman. The album was also produced by Evan Frankfort, a standout musician who toured with the Jayhawks.

Jeff's first album, "In the Middle of the Riddle" became the most radio played independent work in America for the year 2001(190 stations as tracked by Gavin), a very heartfelt almost folksy group of rock tunes. Where the first album was more about a personal landscape, OH MY GOD picked up on the desolate spiritual wasteland that is Hollywood and the music and film business. "You've got a business that is 90 run by people who can't hear what good music is. Radio programmers depend on promoters to be their ears and promoters depend on money to dictate what get's played. It's insane."

Hollywood Girl, one of the songs on the new album chronicles the women that work in the TV and film business, women that love being around the action and living vicariously through it, but never able to step out or find out what their own lives are about. The song has had such a visceral response on listeners, that inevitably someone has bought a CD at every show, just for that song. The popularity even spread to the worldwide web song contest makeastar.com, with Hollywood Girl being voted week after week as a favorite and finally ending up in the finals of the contest.

Check out the standout cover of John Lennon's, "Isolation," and let yourself get hooked by the dreamlike quality of "Rugged Name."
