Juan Zarzuela, también conocido como "Zarzuelita de Jerez" en el mundo artístico, forma parte, en el grupo de cabeza, de la nueva generación de jóvenes intérpretes flamencos del siglo XXI. Juan Zarzuela, como el resto de sus coetáneos son cantaores clásicos, "dicen" los cantes respetando cánones y ortodoxia, pero avanzan en las posibilidades musicales del flamenco en relación a otras músicas y otras sonoridades. Esta es su aportación al cante grande, el respeto y la vigencia de lo clásico y la mezcla y el enriquecimiento de lo nuevo.

Juan Zarzuela, also Known as "Zarzuelita de Jerez" in the flamenco World, is at the head of a new generation of young flamenco singers for the 21st century. Juan Zarzuela, like his young comptemporaries, is first of all a clasical flamenco singer. He sings the old songs respecting the centuries-old orthodoxy of flamenco traditions. But Juan also seeks to advance the musical possibilities of flamenco in relation to other kinds of music, other sounds. This is Juan´s contribution: his respect for the clasical "cante grande" of flamenco, but also his willingness to mix the traditional and enrich it with new sounds.
