Details:
The Chislers are a band from Wakefield, Quebec, Canada. Together for two years, we recently released our first full length CD "Traction".
The 13 original songs come from guitarists Shane Bradley, John McAlpine and one from bass player Paul Stevens. Steve Sabean provides the veteran drumming.
Growing up in Canada, one main influence for all band members has been Neil Young. After Neil, we have some Bob Dylan, Johnny Cash, The Band, Jayhawks, John Prine, Uncle Tupelo, Joe Strummer; You get the idea.
Most of the songs come ready to go from whoever thinks them up. It takes a few rehearsals to get them into shape and then they're ready for our next show or CD. Hope you enjoy the songs as much as we had fun making them.
