Zico began his solo career during the summer of 2000 after Hobson's Choice disbanded. Touring nationally and internationally for over 4 ½ years and his shows reflex the time he has spent perfecting his songwriting and stage presence. Opening for almost every major genre of music. It is almost impossible to pigeonhole him into any one genre. The songs that he writes are based on real life events from his debut LP "Childhood Memories" which gives a look into the life Zico had growing up in Kansas City, Missouri, to the EP "Basement Bootlegs" which is live sounding CD in which he deals with songs trying to recapture his youth and dealing with the state of the world in a post 9/11 era. The latest release by Zico is his LP "Selfish Traveler" which dives into the life of a touring musician and the trials and tribulations. Zico takes you into his world with songs on relationships, politics, the ups and downs of the business, and on the life he lives. He has shared the stage with acts/artists as the likes of David Allen Coe, Ton Loc, Gin Blossoms, Fastball, Caroline's Spine, Supermint, The Goodyear Pimps, and many others.
