At a time where football (soccer) and hockey ruled the household, an 11 year old punk accumulates the courage to ask his dad for a guitar. Expecting sheer disappointment in his fatherâs response, the punk simply gets a nod. Was that a âyesâ, a ânoâ, a âmaybeâ, a âperhapsâ, a âsei schemoâ?


All I can remember is that the next day, he drove me to a warehouse in the middle of nowhere. When I entered the establishment, I realized that I was in a shrineâ¦wall to wall acoustic guitars. Dad simply said âchoose one quickly, we donât want to be late for football practiceââ¦


That was the beginning of my musical journeyâ¦and itâs been a totally insane ride. What really helps is when you have support from family and friendsâ¦cheers peoples!


A couple of years later, my 3 best friends and I were just chillinâ outdoors dreaming about what our futures would holdâ¦you know, foolish âdreaming out-loudâ. In a semi-serious tone, I said âwhy donât start a rock band and become the coolest rockers in schoolâ? Two months later, Rejoice was bornâ¦my first band made up of 4 best friends. Jonathan had picked up the guitar, Boner had picked up the bass guitar, and Ken (my current producer) picked up the drums. We grew as musicians and our mélange of musical tastes allowed us to beâ¦.different. In the end, we were 17-18 year old rock starsâ¦in our own mind.


A few years later, the impossible became an ugly realityâ¦.due to outside circumstances, the band split up and the former âblood brothersâ didnât speak to each other for over 6 years⦠I vowed never to be in another band again⦠BUT, the creative beast inside was relentlessâ¦I shortly began learning the art of songwriting.


After recording heaps of demo tracks, KeeLime came to beâ¦


Creating music is like loveâ¦first you learn to play by the rules; then you put the rules aside and play from the heart.


Music now allows to soothe the savage beasts inside Fred and Iâ¦in the end, music washes away from the soul, the dirt of everyday life!
