Antionette Hayes was educated in Portsmouth Public Schools and a graduate of the historic I.C. Norcom High School. She continued her education at Norfolk State University in which she earned an undergraduate and graduate degree in Special and Urban Education. She currently resides in the city of Chesapeake with her husband Barry of twenty years. Antionette currently works for Chesapeake Public Schools as a special education teacher. For the past 20 years she has worked diligently with children from middle to high school ages.

Antionette has been singing since the age of three years old. She has sung in numerous choirs throughout the Tidewater area. In the early 90s she sang with a small gospel group called Spiritual Light Inspirational Singers. Due to military orders in 1993, she traveled with her husband to Rota, Spain. While there she helped to organized and sang with the gospel group called Free N Deed. At the end of the tour Free N Deed reconvene in 1997 and continued state side spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ through song.

Antionette and her husband are members of First Baptist Church South Hill in Chesapeake, Virginia where Rev. Michael R. Toliver is pastor. She is also an active member of the mass choir.

Antionette completed her first CD project in 2005, entitled Gospel Favorites by Antionette Hayes. Her second CD project entitled Glory Honor & Praise was completed in December 2008, and will be released in January 2009. All Glory Honor & Praise to God Almighty for the great things he has done!!!
