This CD is loaded with blues as will as Ryhtmn and Blues tunes, including some tunes with some very humorous blues lyrics! Big Ran Feuers will rock you to your soul with Rockin' Blues Rythmns and Crying Blues Guitar Licks! This CD will make you want to Dance , Cry and Laught at the same time! Big Ran would like to thank all the members of the MO Blues Association from Jefferson City Missouri that allowed him to perform his songs at the Mo Blues Jams and to the members that told him they liked his music! Big Ran would also like to thank the Bear Creek Blues Festival Committee for asking and having him help them out with the M.C. duties at the 1st Annual Bear Creek Blues Festival at Slater, Missouri in May 2004! Because of the hospitality of the Bear Creek Blues Festival Committee and the MO Blues Association Big Ran is dedicating this CD to both of them!

Big Rans music career has turned full circle since its beginning in the late 1960's where he grew up on a farm in the Missouri Corn Belt near the small railroad town of Slater Missouri. Slater Missouri being almost right in the middle of the state between St Louis and Kansas City, Missouri is mostly known for corn and basketball. Slater high school where Big Ran went to school was also known for athletic black guys with some big and wild white boys from the surrounding country side and within the city limits.
An example of this that might come to mind might be Joe Klien a former pro basketball player that stood over seven feet tall and played for several Pro basketball teams including the Boston Celtics. On the wild side you might go with Steve McQueen who left Slater, Missouri for Hollywood California and later became an action hero in the movies!

The first band Big Ran ever played in was a soul band that was started by his best friend Jonathan White. Big Ran and Jonathan had also played on basketball teams together in Grade School and High school. Big Ran said that Slater Missouri is where he had some of the best times in his life.

Since leaving Slater Missouri in the late 1960's Big Ran played in many Rock N' Roll bands while in college and later in Country bands and even played for an Elvis imitator while serving in the U.S. Army. Big Ran continued to play some country music, but said he was just not having fun playing that kind of music anymore so he made a decision to go back to his musical roots and start playing Blues and Soul Music again.

Big Ran said he can remember some really hot gigs with his old high school soul band at partys ant the Slater Legion Hall after football games and at Missouri Valley College in near by Marshall, Missouri. Big Ran said what he remembered most about music and Slater, Missouri was the old Paridise Inn. The Paridise Inn was an all black bar near the railroad tracks in Slater Missouri. Big Ran said that black people would come to Slater from all over Missouri to the Paridise Inn! Big Ran said he was even introduced to Ike and Tina Turner by one of his old Slater Music friends "Bing Smith"! The Paridise Inn could also get pretty wild sometimes and was known for fights, stabbings and even shootings. Some of Big Rans white friends would tell him he was crazy for going there with his black friends, but Big Ran said they did not have a clue what they missed by not being there. Big Ran said some of the hottest blues music that he had ever heard was played at the Paridise Inn in Slater, Missouri.

Big Ran said he is back playing the kind of music that makes you want to grind on the slow and shake on the fast songs. And for Big Ran Feuers that would be blues and soul music!
